Thanks for teh help guys...I also remember kids are people too.

I ended up e-mailing tvparty guy to see what he says, I'll report back.

"Hey hope you can help me here,
I have been searching for years trying to find a television show that was on in Philadelphia area. I have only ever found one other person that remotely remembers it and he could not remember the name either but remembered the show when I described it.

I went to catholic school and was in 1st second grade, so I was up really early on the weekends to watch cartoons, but real early there was nothing usually on yet. I believe it was on channel 6 ABC(possibly 10 though) probably around 1980-1981 (maybe even 82) between 5-7 in the morning, not sure if it was Saturdays or Sunday mornings. I vaguely remember it being on before Chief Halftown, but it could have been before Candy Apple News or Star Stuff. Now that I haven't really given you much to work with, maybe the premise will help my cause.

It was a clubhouse area for kids, but they had adults there, kind of like a teen center place, but was more an old garage. Here is the kicker, it was mainly all Hispanics and they would speak half the time in Spanish and half the time in English. I remember it having a fairly serious plot meant to teach a lesson. Kind of a kids' drama. The production value was low.

This show has been the one area of my life the internet has failed to produce even a completely bogus answer or something remotely close to a question I have.

I truly don't believe i made this up, someone else I know that is about my age from another area of Philly remembered it. I need to know this so I can prove to my friends that laugh at me wrong, like i did when Quisp cereal re-emerged a few years ago, and also for my own sanity.

Thanks,"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3628395291281556778.post-36056815636892594422009-01-07T22:22:00.000-05:002009-01-07T22:22:00.000-05:00This might be a better KAPT clip where KISS makes ...This might be a better KAPT clip where KISS makes a weird appearance to promote a new member (Eric "The Fox" Carr) of Kiss to replace Peter Criss.

So Michael Young works the crowd and asks a kid who his favorite member of Kiss is.

And of he says "Peter Criss".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVBkNWOUtpo&feature=relatedClinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00931759862754225872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3628395291281556778.post-65215441751981974222009-01-07T17:29:00.000-05:002009-01-07T17:29:00.000-05:00This website:http://www.tvparty.com/lostphilly1.ht...This website:

http://www.tvparty.com/lostphilly1.html

is some kind of loose attempt to chronicle many of the Philly kids shows from back in the day. Though it is poorly designed and I didn't immediately see anything that matched your description, perhaps it will lead you somewhere.

Otherwise, one of the local libraries has gotta have archives of the Inky, Daily News, or Bulletin from that era, no? This is based purely on my observations which were limited b/c I was also kissing a good amount of the time and not watching everything else going on.plumrosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01160156094735758278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3628395291281556778.post-61522036320530177972009-01-07T12:22:00.000-05:002009-01-07T12:22:00.000-05:00no one reads?
