Oral history of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Only the greatest show ever.
So Guy Fieri has a new restaurant out there, in probably the best place for a Guy Fieri restaurant: Las Vegas. And it's got everything you would imagine on the menu - Guy Fieri style!
Here's a completely depressing piece about Wall Street and how you should invest your money. Short answer: don't!
Here's a quick preview of 33 movies coming out this summer that you may or may not be excited for.
If you're bored today, or have recently thought you haven't been using the Internet to its capacity, check out these 10 kinda cool calculations you can do online.
BASE jumping from the tallest building in the world:
At first, hearing about a pirate show being created by NBC sounds completely lame. But then you take a look at this preview, see John Malkovich going full James Spader, and see all the other completely insane stuff going on, and you think, maybe. Maybe this has a chance to be somewhat palatable.

Cool Shit 3/27
Well here's one way to release a music album I guess. Not for nothing, Wu-Tang doesn't play by your silly rules!
Here's the bat shit crazy trailer for Jupiter Ascending. When will people realize that epic fantasy/science fiction movies need to have a centralized focus before introducing us to the vastness of their worlds? The original Star Wars trilogy worked because at the beginning it was about a farmer who got swept up trying to save a princess. The prequel trilogy? Good lord who could follow it all? It started way too big and didn't give the audience anything to latch onto. The reason fantasy books work a lot better is because reading it we can take a break, go back and figure out something that's confusing, and absorb it at our own pace. Movies need to go a little slower. This Jupiter Ascending appears to not care at all about the small story to hook us, and jumps right into the universe. Too bad.
More theories about movies that you probably didn't think of (nor did the movie creators).
Apparently BASE jumping is nothing like sky diving.
Kanye West: Vampire. Eh, I've heard of stranger things.

Singapore BASE Jumping
In addition to the incredible backdrop (downtown Singapore), this video is crazy for the amount of camera coverage they have to make this video. I count at least 6 different angles! For BASE jumping. It almost defeats the raw, DIY approach of the sport, no?

Norwegian Base Jumping
This is probably as close as one can come to BASE jumping without actually BASE jumping. If that makes sense.

Links of Interest 11/25
I knew a BASE jumper. Actually, that's technically not true. I knew someone who went on to get heavily involved in BASE jumping. The hobby fit, as I could tell you some fantastic off-color stories about him, but they would probably get the site shut down. Instead, I give you this cool video of guys BASE jumping off the tallest structure in the world (I think).
I don't know nearly as much as I should about Fela Kuti. Here's a decent place to start though.
Breathing helium? Spending 12 hours a day underwater? Months on end? Yeah - all to fix a major leak in New York city's water supply. (from Gizmodo)
Who would have ever thought the movie Napoleon Dynamite would cause such a major issue in how computers tell us what movies to like?
No wonder Skittles make me so hot and bothered.
