It's World Cup Time! And I Know Who I'm Rooting For!

Surely I've posted this before, but it's never been more relevant than now with the star of hte video now the coach of Argentina for the World Cup:

There's a lot to love about this, from Maradona's awesome shorts, to the way he ruffles the hair of the opponent who just missed a penalty kick to his celebrating the victory with a bag of cocaine.

Enjoy the World Cup folks!

Nigeria could give the salt-and-peppered Maradona and his squad a tough match today. Love the over today (o2', -114).

agreed but I still see Argentina coming out of their pool.

Argentina should still win their pool. I've got A-Pool (1) Uruguay, (2) Mexico. B-Pool (1) Argentina, (2) Nigeria. Argentina should handle Mexico but lose to the US-Germany winner in the quarters. A & B pools are pretty weak so anything less than that then Maradona will be getting a ton of heat.

I'd be careful leaving RSA out of there. Isn't there a stat that says no host team has failed to advance?

Yeah, the stat that says RSA stinks. Unless I see Wayne Ferreira in the locker room giving a pep talk, then they will not advance.

i know they stink, but I also think they can advance. Plus, they're playing for Mandela's great grand-daughter's memory. That's gotta pump them up.

Also, you probably missed Desmond Tutu at the opening festivities - trust me when I say that he was awesome.

Missed the festivities but I did see him cutting a rug in some luxury box after they scored a goal.
