Let's all listen to the latest Beck album!
I love the fact that there was a possibility of getting a Dune movie with a more fucked up vision than David Lynch had.
Ever wonder why there were exhaust ports on the Death Star to begin with?
Some props for Lipinski and Weir for their great figure skating coverage. I agree wholeheartedly with these sentiments. They offer a refreshing take on the sport, that isn't simply Rah Rah American. And they offer insight, often in a creative and fun way.
The Civil War was full of mysteries. FULL OF THEM!
Pretty sure being buried alive is one of my least favorite ways to think about dying (not that I have a top 10 list of them or anything). So it's even more amazing that these 4 people had it happen to them and survived!
Like long classic rock jams? This link is for you.
More great photos from the Olympics.

A list of What if movies that were started but never finished.
There must be thousands of great ideas out in Hollywood that have been started and not finished. This list goes into a little more detail about fifteen such projects, and doesn't even include Frank Darabont's Indiana Jones script, or William Gibson's Alien 3 script - 2 I wouldn't have minded seeing.

Authors weigh in on their favorite books of the year.
Rolling Stone’s 100 best albums of the decade.
Though I’m sure not all of these are accurate, it’s interesting to see where bands get their names.
hmmm…this guy is a bad beatboxer, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen worse.
So…David Lynch was asked to direct Return of the Jedi?
Could you gamble away $127 million?
How do you find out something new on a subject that has been researched exhaustively?
Think fast food meat is bad? It’s got nothing on school cafeteria meat.
I guess maybe you might want to say goodbye to these companies.

What did you think of ABC’s FlashForward last night?
Director Werner Herzog is completely insane, and completely awesome. And now, you can be too, right next to him.
Handwriting is slowly becoming extinct.
Fake movie products we all wish were real. SO the ironic t-shirts would have more validity of course.
Interview with David Lynch (via popcandy).
The magic of the Internet brings us the magic of Route 66.
If you’ve ever seen a picture of Malcolm Gladwell, this article is that much more awesome.
It pains me to read about drive through services and see nary a mention of Swiss Farms. A Delaware County, PA treasure, the glory of Swiss Farms knows no bounds.
A list of things the Internet is doing no favors for.
