Links of Interest 10/15

So should these dogs be considered snitches? Because you know what happens to snitches, right? They get stitches.

A roundtable discussion with the people integral in making the movie, Where the Wild Things Are.

Interview with Joel and Ethan Coen.

There’s a lot I agree with in this article about where 30 Rock could be headed, and a lot I don’t. Particularly what I don’t agree with – that it could end up as a slightly funnier version of Will and Grace. I mean, I can’t think of a worse insult.

For the men out there – the top 50 WAGS (Wives And Girlfriends – how clever!) of 2009 sports stars. Warning – chicks in various levels of undress.

Ok, I’m pretty sure this settles it. Dropping two atomic bombs on a country really fucks them for years to come. To wit – watch this clip of a Japanese game show prank an unsuspecting gentleman that his friends get shot by a sniper. The laugh track really adds to it.

I don’t remember McDonaldland. But it looks like an awesome place filled with the characters I grew up with - and got fat with.

It’s difficult to look away from people running at a camera in slow motion.

Absurdity is good for the brain. This kind of stuff is what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Wait a minute, how the hell do you NOT remember McDonaldland? I had multiple playsets of it when I was a kid, and still may have some poorly conditioned action figures from it. That's quite a blindspot.

Parents were big into us eating junkfood. And if we did, I'd get a happy meal and eat it at home. I mean, I remember the actual physical playlands in front of the McDonald's but I don't think I actually ever played in one.
